Our First Grown-Up Conference

States Visited: Nevada Arizona New Mexico Texas Louisiana

September started out in Las Vegas, then we headed to Louisiana. We were grooving along in Lake Charles when they announced that Hurricane Florence was headed straight for us and class was canceled for Tuesday and Wednesday. So, we sat in the hotel and enjoyed two bright, sunny days while Hurricane Florence sat on New Orleans instead.

Then we headed back home to Texas for dentist appointments and fabric shopping (Much to Michael’s regret! He should never have bought me a sewing machine!!) All the patterns are from Pattern Emporium in Australia and thanks to a new machine and new patterns, I’m finally brave enough to use stretch fabric!

Then we went BACK to Lake Charles for a make-up class for the hurricane cohort, then we came BACK to Texas. Michael went to Victoria for his class, and dad and I attended the Texas Child Care Administrator’s Conference in Round Rock. We had a vendor table and had real grown-up conversations with people! Maybe this marketing thing isn’t so bad.

Next month: Alabama, Louisiana and (maybe!!!) Washington State!
