In and Out of Texas

States Visited: Illinois Texas Michigan

Well, at the end of last month I was leaving Texas to be reunited with my husband in Illinois. So, I flew all the way to Champaign, IL for three days…only to RETURN to Texas for a class in San Antonio!!!

We saw Dune 2 in Imax

So, we spent a week off at home and then a week teaching a class in northern San Antonio. We got to meet the sister’s fiancé and spend some time with the fam. We got back on the road at drove all the way up to Michigan.

My first glimpse of Lake Michigan

We spent a week in Ann Arbor, teaching at the Washtenaw Community College. This is one of our favorite colleges; great facilities, beautiful region, and of course- the Black Rock Grill is right across the street! With Michael’s birthday just a few weeks ago and our 2nd anniversary right around the corner, it’s a perfect dinner destination!

So, we had one week in winter and we headed right back south… to Texas again! On our way down, we stopped at Lambert’s Cafe in Missouri – “The Home of the Throwed Roll!”

We both caught a roll so it was a win-win and made it safely to Texas. Next month – Nebraska, Illinois, and Louisiana!
