I’m a Jersey Girl?

States Visited: Texas New Mexico New Jersey Lousiana

We ended last month in Florida, expecting to spend a week in Louisiana, but we wound up home in San Antonio instead. After a week in Texas, we rode into the sunset and spent a week in Silver City, NM, the gateway to the Gila Mountains.

Unseen: The homeless encampment hidden in the bushes. #classic New Mexico

We narrowly escaped two weeks in Louisiana, so we made the 35 hour drive back to New Jersey to see Mike’s mom. The last time were there was New Years, so we were past due for a visit!

We broke out the toys

We went shooting with Mike’s friend. He’s the second man who’s pocket boot I have permanently destroyed by introducing to the world of ballistic sports. Sorry V!

We also drove up to Edgewater to visit Mitsuwa Marketplace. We’re planning a trip to Japan for next year, so this was a fun preview of Japanese shopping. We got ramen, sushi, onigiri, and soft-serve ice cream with mont blonc topping. Check this out!

“a dessert of sweetened

We visited some of the family down in Barnegat, and we also bought tickets to go to Gettysburg! We got up at 6:30, on the road by 7, got half way there and got news that the park was CLOSED because of “Suspicious Package”! So, we had to go home instead. 😦

Sad Gettysburg Faces 😦

We got back on the road on Friday, back off to Lousiana, Illinois, and home to Texas for the bridal shower!
