Goodbye to Baby Sister!

Man, the beginning of the month feels like a lifetime ago, so let me try to remember who I was….

Oh yeah! We moved into Chiefland, Florida just as Hurricane Debby hit the coast. So, we spent our first day of class sitting in the dark, listening to the rain. Then, just as we were beginning to worry for all the food we had stored in the fridge, the power came back on! So, that was my horrific first encounter with a hurricane.

Then, we came home for The Wedding! For the first few days, we went to help the Hammer Tech team cable a 5 Below store in San Antonio. Then we had the bridal shower/wedding rehearsal/wedding on the weekend. It was a crazy time, but Michael is our Wedding Hero and he stepped in to save the day. I was Michael’s sidekick, but I DID make the wedding cake!!! It was the Italian Coconut Wedding Cake by Tatyana’s Everyday Food.

From the wedding, we spent a week in Kansas and then we had a surprise class in Las Vegas. On our way out there, we spent a night in the historic La Posada, visited the Meteor Crater and took the train from Williams, AZ in to the Grand Canyon.

After the Canyon, we spent 4 days in Las Vegas. We took a helicopter trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, saw the Tournament of Knights at the Excalibur casino, walked the strip, saw a show at The Sphere, and saw the city from the top of the High Roller ferris wheel. When Michael tours the city, he leaves no stone unturned.

Next month, we’ll be in Lousiana, Texas and ???? Maybe Michigan, maybe Nebraska, Maybe Florida. 😂
