States Visited: Japan (!!) Tennessee Alabama Idaho Pennsylvania New Jersey

Well, we left Kansas and spent a week in Chalmette, LA. We were just ten minutes from Bourbon St so we braved the extreme heat and the homeless drug-addicts and went down to Jackson Square for beignets and coffee.

From New Orleans, we hopped in the car, drove 8hrs up to Nashville on Friday night. Saturday morning we were on a plane heading back to Tokyo! We took the July 4th week to go back to Japan to catch a few things we missed back in April.

We stayed in Osaka for two days and saw the Fukuchiyama Railway Museum, Himeji Castle, and the Kobe Herb Gardens. Then we had three days in Tokyo to visit Yokohama, the Cup Noodles Museum, Team Lab Planets, and get some sushi.

We landed back in Nashville Saturday evening. Monday morning I left Mobile, AL and flew to Indianapolis to re-united the Hammer Siblings! We spent a week together, helping middle sister move out of her apartment.

That Saturday I was in the IND airport at 4:30 am, flew IND->CLT->BNA, Michael picked me up and we repacked out suitcases, then we flew BNA->Denver->Boise for our class in Idaho! We spent a week at the Tamarack Resort teaching fiber classes to their IT guys.

We flew back from Idaho then spent a week in Knoxville. Our class in Michigan canceled, so we finally managed to squeeze in a trip to Gettysburg! We did the 2-hour battlefield bus tour and the museum, fulfilling a life-long dream of mine.

From Gettysburg we came home to New Jersey for a week off. Next month, Tennesee, Louisiana, Texas and Washington state!
