Snowpocalypse 2026

States Visited: Kansas Tennessee Illinois Colorado New Mexico

The Cumbres Pass
The Cumbres Pass

We headed back out to Kansas for our first class of the year, and got to visit the little sister south of Indianapolis. From Kansas, we spent a week in Tennessee and then headed up to Illinois. It was all fun and games until you have a 10,000 step/day step goal and the daytime high temp is 20°.

We got out of Illinois just in time to make our hotel before the Snowpocalypse hit. It was touch and go the day after, but we made it safely out of Kansas to Colorado, and we thought we had left the snow behind until we climbed the Cumbres pass and discovered what a difference a few feet of elevation makes.

We spent a week in Dulce, training the Jicarilla Apache Nation. I even got Michael to bring me to an Indian Fry Bread making class. Can't beat the combo of cultural exploration AND free dinner.

From Dulce, we head down to Roswell, Artesia, and Corona - if we meet any UFOs, you'll be the first to know!
