Count Down to Vacation

States Visited: Tennessee Nebraska Illinois New Jersey New York

Well, we flew out Nashville thinking we would drive to Little Rock the week after. Turns out our Little Rock class was canceled, so we got to drive to Lincoln, NE instead! Combine a 14 hour drive and a flight delayed by 5 hours, and it was a very long night!

We stopped at Chuck’s Boots in St. Louis and bought our new Texas man his first pair of cowboy boots. We got to Lincoln just in time to catch the absolute worst upper respiratory infection and become snot monsters for three weeks. But, that did not stop us from celebrating Michael’s 38th birthday!

We waited in Lincoln while the winter storm blew over, then headed over to Peoria. We almost got a tornado during class, but it was a false alarm (thank goodness)

Friday we got on the road and made it home to New Jersey on Saturday afternoon. It’s the best time to come to New Jersey; it’s Blueberry Coffee season at Wawa!!

We’re wrapping up a class in Westchester, NY and biting our fingernails until Saturday when we fly to Japan!!! Stay tuned next month for loads of vacation pictures!
