States Visited: Alabama Washington Texas New Mexico

After our conference, Michael and I went back to Mobile for a week, then drove home, took everything out of our suitcases, but them back into different suitcases and flew to Washington state! This has been a bucket-list thing for me for ages! Now I’m only missing Hawai’i, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

We landed around 9:45am on Sunday, to a beautiful, sunny day! We took the ferry to Bainbridge Island and toured around, tried out the food scene, and took in the sights.

We flew home Saturday, packed everything back in the van, and drove over to Houston. There we celebrated my 28th birthday!

We had dinner at the Monument Inn out by the San Jacinto Monument. Fresh gulf seafood with a view of the Houston Ship Channel made for a very nice evening.

After Houston, we drove out for a week in Silver City, NM. Next month – Louisiana, New Mexico, and home for Thanksgiving!
